St. Veronica is most well known as the woman who offered a cloth to Jesus so He could wipe His face while carrying the cross to His Crucifixion. She is remembered during the Sixth Station of the Cross, “Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus.” After Jesus wiped his face, the image of his face was imprinted on the cloth.
